What is the Certificate 3 Guarantee?
The Certificate 3 Guarantee supports eligible individuals to complete their first post-school certificate III level qualification. It also supports Queensland’s Year 12 graduates to transition to employment by providing fee-free training in high-priority qualifications. Nova College is a pre-qualified supplier approved by the Queensland Government to deliver publicly funded training and assessment.

Am I eligible?
To be eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee a participant must:
- not hold or be undertaking a Certificate level III or higher qualification*
- be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand citizen permanently residing in Queensland
- a temporary resident with the necessary visa and on the pathway to permanent residency.
- have finished secondary school or no longer be at school
- be aged 15 years or above.

*If you completed a Certificate III qualification while in secondary school, you may still be eligible to receive a government subsidy for a Certificate III course with Nova College .
How much will it cost?
- A contribution to the cost of training and assessment services — called a co-contribution fee — must be made by students undertaking a certificate III level qualification. A student co-contribution fee is required for all qualifications. The cost is charged at a unit of competency level so the price will vary depending on the course you enrol in and your individual circumstances.

- The Nova College refund policy is available here.
- The full fee applicable for your enrolment will be invoiced once you are accepted into the program.
- A $100 deposit is required to rent the books.. Flexible payment plans are available for the remaining balance across the duration of your studies.
- Please note that if you are a Queensland Year 12 Graduate, you are exempt from paying the co-contribution fee if you are enrolling within 12 months of graduating high school.

Higher Level Skills
What is the Higher Level Skills Program?
The Higher Level Skills Program provides a government subsidy to support eligible individuals complete Certificate IV level and above qualifications or priority skill sets. The aim is to assist people to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment, career advancement or transition to university in priority industries.
Nova College is an approved Queensland Government pre-qualified supplier to deliver publicly funded training and assessment.
What is a skill set and why should I consider undertaking one?
A Skill Set is a single unit of competency, or combination of units of competency, from one or more training packages that link to a licence or regulatory requirement, or defined industry need. Skill Sets help people top up their existing knowledge and skills. Students who successfully complete all requirements of a Skill Set will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Government concessions
A government concession may be available to you if you are accessing a government subsidy, are enrolling into a course hold one of the following cards:
- Commonwealth Health Care Card
- Pensioner Concession Card
- Health Care Card)
If you meet these requirements, you will be charged the concession rate which is equivalent to 67% of the tuition fee payable by non-concession students in a government subsidised place for your course.
You cannot apply for a government concession if you are enrolling into a course as a full-fee or international student.
Receiving concession
To receive concession on your tuition fees:
- a copy of your concession card must be attached to your enrolment form
- the date of the card must cover the start date of the course (first unit start date)
- the concession card must be applied to the enrolment by the Invoice due date.
